We had only refurbished this property the year before and supplied and fitted a new kitchen, bathroom, blinds and carpets. 12 months later the tenant had walked out and left literally everything behind including all their furniture. The kicker was the rat infestation and the damaged carpets.  It took the team 5 hours to remove and dispose of everything, clean and paint the place again to bring it to a lettable standard. The landlord must have wondered if it was worth selling but the next tenant looked after the place and kept it clean and tidy.
